We are very pleased to announce that our new book : Low Borrowbridge – Two thousand years in the Lune Gorge, Tebay has now been published. The book looks at the development of Borrowbridge from the Roman period to the present day, taking in the development of the droving route, packhorse tracks, turnpike, railway and eventually motorway.

Included are extensive appendices detailing the wills and inventories of occupants of the Borrowbridge farms from the Sixteenth to Nineteenth Centuries, as well as Tithe Apportionments, census and trade directory returns.
